Make It Make Sense
“If it doesn't make dollars, it doesn't make sense."
We’ve heard the saying, and in many ways, it's valid. But let’s go deeper.
In a world where hustle culture is glorified and time feels like it’s constantly slipping away, we rarely pause to ask: Does this actually make sense for my life? We focus so much on what makes dollars that we ignore what makes sense — emotionally, spiritually, physically.
But let me offer a shift: If your time is your currency, how are you spending it?
Are you investing in things that give you a true return — peace, joy, clarity, nourishment, healing? Or are you draining your most valuable asset chasing external measures of success, while neglecting your own needs?
The truth is, what doesn’t make sense often won’t make sustainable dollars either. Because without a healthy vessel — you — none of it lasts.
Making it make sense means:
Scheduling your self-care like it’s a non-negotiable meeting (because it is).
Prioritizing mental and physical health before deadlines and demands.
Creating space to align with your purpose, so the dollars you pursue are in alignment with your spirit.
Choosing daily rituals that nourish your nervous system, not deplete it.
Your health is your first wealth. Without it, the money, the success, the accolades? They mean little.
So, the next time you say yes to something, ask:
Does this make sense? For my values? For my vision? For my well-being?
Because if it doesn’t —
It won’t make dollars either. Not the kind that lasts.
